The possibility of an AirTag 2 has been in the rumor mill since June last year when Kuo first hinted at the development. At that time, the esteemed analyst projected shipment estimates of approximately 20 million for 2021 and an impressive 35 million for 2022. “If AirTag shipments continue to soar, I firmly believe Apple will forge ahead with the second generation,” Kuo stated in his report.
