With this cutting-edge technology, travelers on select Alaska Airlines flights can now make payments using various contactless methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and contactless cards. The airline’s flight attendants will facilitate these transactions, offering passengers a hassle-free and efficient way to pay for in-flight services.
Originally announced by Apple in February 2022, Tap to Pay on iPhone has rapidly gained traction worldwide. This feature, designed to turn iPhones into versatile contactless payment terminals, has seen integration with multiple payment platforms such as Square and Stripe. Now, its implementation with Alaska Airlines signifies a leap forward in enhancing the travel experience.
