Apple has recently announced that a staggering 72% of all iPhones now have a version of iOS 16 installed on them, with a further 81% of all iPhones introduced within the last four years using a version of the updated operating system. These figures were obtained through a recent update to the Apple Developer webpage, which measured devices that transacted on the App Store in the past week.
This news comes as Apple’s iOS 16 continues to receive high praise from both tech experts and Apple enthusiasts, who are thrilled with the updated features and improved performance of the latest operating system. The new features include enhanced security and privacy settings, a reimagined notification system, and improved Siri functionality.
The updated statistics also reveal that 15% of iPhones are currently running iOS 15, while the remaining 4% are still on iOS 14 and below. While it is important to note that these figures do not include devices that download the latest software but aren’t connected to an Apple ID, they still demonstrate the overwhelming success of Apple’s latest operating system.
