Apple is gearing up for Pride Month in June with a series of exciting celebrations and initiatives. The tech giant recently unveiled a new Apple Watch band and watch face to kick off the festivities, and now it has announced a lineup of new workouts accompanied by music playlists featuring LGBTQIA+ “artists and allies.”
Among the notable names in the ally category is none other than Madonna, whom Apple describes as a longstanding social activist. As part of the celebrations, Apple Fitness+ will introduce new workouts and meditations that shine a spotlight on the LGBTQ+ community, alongside a special Artist Spotlight dedicated to Madonna.
The Artist Spotlight series, known for dedicating an entire workout playlist to a single artist, is expanding to include workouts featuring Madonna’s music. Starting on June 5, users will have the opportunity to enjoy new workouts across a range of exercise types, including HIIT, Rowing, Cycling, Core, Treadmill, Strength, Dance, and Yoga, all set to the iconic sounds of Madonna’s discography.

To make the experience even more immersive, Apple Fitness+ instructors will be donning Madonna-inspired outfits. Notably, Tyrell Désean, one of the Fitness+ trainers, will lead a cycling workout while wearing a wedding dress—a bold and playful nod to Madonna’s memorable style at the 1984 MTV Video Music Awards and her hit song “Like a Virgin.”
The workouts themselves will be infused with the energy and themes of Madonna’s impact on self-acceptance and inclusivity across music, culture, and style. The music playlists will feature hits from each decade of her career, spanning the 1980s to the 2010s, allowing participants to enjoy a journey through Madonna’s iconic discography.
But the celebrations don’t stop there. In addition to the Madonna-inspired workouts, Apple Fitness+ will introduce seven new workouts and meditations that highlight LGBTQIA+ artists and allies. These empowering sessions, available starting from Monday, May 29, will honor the LGBTQ+ community, spreading a message of inclusivity and acceptance for all. To visually enhance the Pride experience, the workouts will feature special Pride lighting inspired by the vibrant rainbow flag.
One of the new meditations, led by Fitness+ trainer Christian Howard, will reflect on iconic leaders who have united communities in support of equal rights. This meditation serves as a powerful reminder of the progress made in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and the ongoing work needed to create a more inclusive world.
