Apple has announced an increase in trade-in values for select older iPhone models in the United States, as part of its push to encourage customers to upgrade to the latest iPhone 14 lineup. The new trade-in values are listed on the company’s trade-in website and include a mix of increases and decreases.
The trade-in values have gone up for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro, while the older iPhone mini models have decreased in value. For instance, the iPhone 13 Pro Max now has a trade-in value of up to $630, compared to $600 previously, while the iPhone 13 Pro has increased to up to $530 from $500.
However, not all models have seen an increase in trade-in values. For example, the iPhone 13 mini now has a trade-in value of up to $330, a decrease from its previous value of $350. The latest trade-in values for all models are now listed on the Apple trade-in website.
Apart from the iPhone, Apple has also made some mixed adjustments to trade-in values for iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch devices. Among these, iPads and Apple Watches have fared better, with increases in trade-in values for some models.
For iPads, the iPad Pro now has a trade-in value of up to $470, up from $445, while the iPad mini has a trade-in value of up to $250, an increase from $240. Mac devices have also seen some changes, with the MacBook Pro now having a trade-in value of up to $775, compared to $730 previously.
For the Apple Watch, there have been some slight increases in trade-in values for select models, with the Apple Watch Series 6 now having a trade-in value of up to $110, up from $105. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 4 has increased to up to $55, from $50.
