According to a recent report from Bloomberg, tech giant Apple is contemplating raising the price of its much-anticipated iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This potential price hike comes in the wake of the iPhone 14 Pro starting at $999 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max at $1,099. While the lower-end iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to maintain their current prices, the price increase for the Pro models could pave the way for an overall surge in iPhone revenue.
Despite the price adjustment, Apple is reportedly optimistic about the demand for its latest smartphones. The company is projecting a shipment of approximately 85 million iPhone 15 units for this calendar year, on par with the previous iPhone 14 sales figures. Such steady unit sales are welcome news for AAPL investors, indicating a strong and resilient consumer demand for iPhones throughout the upcoming cycle.
Apple CEO Tim Cook’s remarks on a quarterly earnings call earlier this year shed light on customer preferences, noting that users are willing to stretch their budgets to obtain the best iPhone they can afford. This statement served as an early indicator that further price increases might be on the table.
Exciting details have emerged from the rumor mill regarding the features of the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup. Notably, all iPhone 15 models are expected to sport USB-C ports instead of the traditional Lightning connector. Moreover, the base models, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will introduce the more modern Dynamic Island cutout design, seen previously on the iPhone 14 Pro series, eliminating the notch.
The real showstoppers, however, are reserved for the iPhone 15 Pro models. These devices are rumored to showcase a stunning titanium chassis and incorporate the latest-generation A17 chip manufactured on a cutting-edge 3-nanometer process. Additionally, a new multi-function button, inspired by the Apple Watch Ultra’s Action button, will replace the mute switch on the side of the device.
Photography enthusiasts will be thrilled to learn that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to include a revolutionary periscope lens in its rear camera module, offering an extended optical zoom range for exceptional photography experiences.

Apple aficionados can also rejoice over the thinnest display bezels ever seen on an iPhone, thanks to an innovative production process. Earlier reports suggested that the thin border design had caused some production challenges, potentially leading to supply shortages upon launch. However, Bloomberg’s latest report suggests that these issues will be promptly resolved within a couple of weeks and should not significantly impact overall production.
