Apple has rolled out updates for its tvOS and HomePod software, bringing improvements in performance and bug fixes to users. The release of tvOS 16.5 and HomePod software version 16.5 comes after a series of beta-testing rounds, with the final beta released on April 25.
As the highly anticipated WWDC 2023 approaches, Apple’s focus seems to be more on enhancing performance and resolving issues rather than introducing new features. This aligns with the expectation of a relatively light feature set for the upcoming updates.
Both tvOS 16.5 and HomePod software version 16.5 carry the build number 20L563, signaling a synchronized release for these Apple devices.
Users need not worry about manually updating their devices, as the updates are set to download and install automatically within a day or two, depending on individual settings. However, for those eager to get the latest enhancements sooner, manual installation is an option.
