Apple TV+ is gearing up for the second season premiere of “The Afterparty”, an exciting murder mystery comedy that will return with ten new episodes on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. The popular show created by Academy Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord will be available to stream exclusively on the Apple TV+ platform.
The show stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoe Chao in lead roles, and each episode is set in a different film genre. Season two promises to take fans on another thrilling journey with a murder mystery plot that revolves around a wedding gone wrong. As the groom is found dead, every guest becomes a suspect, and it’s up to the trio of Danner (Haddish), Aniq (Richardson), and Zoe (Chao) to solve the case.
As with the first season, each episode of the second season of “The Afterparty” promises to be unique, featuring a distinct visual style and perspective from each suspect. Fans can look forward to the exciting addition of new stars in the series, including Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu, John Cho, and Ken Jeong.
“The AfterParty” is produced by TriStar TV and Sony Pictures Television for Apple as part of a five-year overall television deal. The show is led by executive producers Chris Miller and Phil Lord, with Miller and Anthony King serving as showrunners. Lord, along with Miller, operates the Lord Miller production banner, and Aubrey Lee, Lord Miller’s senior vice president of television, is also a producer.
