Apple TV+ Scores 11 Screen Actors Guild Nominations

During awards season, Apple TV+ continues to shine, securing an impressive 11 nominations from the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). This notable achievement follows closely on the heels of the 9 nominations received from the Art Directors’ Guild awards.

The diverse range of nominations spans both film and TV categories, showcasing Apple TV+’s strong presence in the entertainment industry. Among the standout entries are Martin Scorsese and Eric Roth’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which not only earned a nomination for its entire cast but also recognition for individual actors, including Lily Gladstone for Female Actor in a Leading Role and Robert de Niro for Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

In the television realm, Apple TV+ hits a high note with two acclaimed shows. “Ted Lasso,” in its final season, receives nominations for its entire cast in the drama series category. Simultaneously, “The Morning Show” is recognized in the comedy series category, with additional nods for Billy Crudup and Jennifer Aniston in the Male Actor in a Drama Series and Female Actor categories, respectively.

Notably, the fiercely competitive Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series category sees dual nominations for “Ted Lasso,” with Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein both vying for the prestigious award. Adding to the excitement, Hannah Waddingham received a nomination for Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role in “Ted Lasso,” while Brie Larson is acknowledged for Outstanding Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for “Lessons in Chemistry.”
