In a move that strengthens its partnership with Apple, Best Buy has announced the expansion of its popular Upgrade+ program to include the highly sought-after iPad Pro and the innovative Apple Watch Ultra. Launched last October, the Upgrade+ program has quickly gained traction among consumers, offering convenient monthly financing options for select Apple products purchased from Best Buy in the United States. With this expansion, Best Buy aims to further solidify its position as a go-to destination for Apple enthusiasts looking to upgrade their devices.
Similar to Apple’s successful iPhone Upgrade Program, the Upgrade+ program enables customers to enjoy the latest Apple products without the burden of a hefty upfront payment. The program offers flexible financing plans through Citizens Bank, with annual percentage rates (APRs) ranging from 0% to 29.99% based on the customer’s creditworthiness, as stated in the program’s fine print.
The expansion of the Upgrade+ program now includes the newest models of the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Studio, and Mac mini, in addition to the iPad Pro and Apple Watch Ultra. This broad range of eligible devices ensures that Best Buy customers have a plethora of options to choose from when deciding to upgrade their Apple ecosystem.
Under the Upgrade+ program, customers can spread their monthly payments across a three-year period. After 36 months, customers who have purchased an eligible iPad Pro, Apple Watch Ultra, or Mac have three choices: they can upgrade to a newer device, pay off the remaining balance in the 37th month and keep the current device, or return the device and exit the program.
Notably, the Upgrade+ program doesn’t solely focus on device financing. It also provides customers with the option to finance the purchase of an AppleCare+ plan for their Apple device, as well as select Apple accessories. This comprehensive offering ensures that customers can safeguard their investments and enjoy peace of mind while using their devices.
