Domino’s Pizza has announced a new integration with Apple CarPlay, enabling customers to place pickup orders without ever leaving their vehicles. The feature is available to U.S. customers, who will need to download the Domino’s app for iPhone and access it through CarPlay.
To place an order using CarPlay, customers can select either “Tap to Order” or “Call to Order”. The first option will allow them to order a preselected “Easy Order” saved to their Pizza Profile or repeat a recently placed order. The latter will allow them to order by phone. The app also provides a feature to track the status of orders using the Domino’s Tracker and view nearby Domino’s locations.
Customers will be able to pick up their orders through Domino’s Carside Delivery option, eliminating the need to leave their vehicles. The integration is part of the company’s commitment to innovation with technology and is the first time a major pizza chain has offered CarPlay integration.
Domino’s has been exploring various technologies to enhance its customer experience. In addition to CarPlay, the company also allows customers to place orders using the Apple Watch and by texting an emoji. The company has also been working on autonomous delivery vehicles and drone delivery in recent years.
The integration with CarPlay marks a significant milestone for Domino’s, as the company continues to invest in technology to streamline the ordering process for its customers. The move also aligns with the trend of restaurants embracing mobile technology to cater to changing customer habits and expectations.

While the new feature may be a convenient option for some customers, it does come with a caveat: the ability to choose toppings is not yet available for CarPlay orders. This means that customers will need to stick with preselected options or repeat recent orders.
