In a recent report by renowned display analyst Ross Young, new forecasts have shed light on Apple’s upcoming iPhone models. According to Young, the iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to feature a taller aspect ratio of 19.6:9, a departure from the current 19.5:9 aspect ratio seen in the iPhone 14 lineup.
This change in aspect ratio is projected to extend to the standard iPhone 17 models the following year. Not only will this alter the physical dimensions of the devices, but it also hints at a more immersive visual experience. Furthermore, Young provided precise details about the display sizes of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, elevating our anticipation for Apple’s future offerings.
While rumors surrounding the iPhone 16 Pro models have long pointed toward larger screens, the exact aspect ratio remained shrouded in mystery. With the revelation from Ross Young, it appears that these devices will sport a taller aspect ratio, making them slightly elongated rather than wider.
