The Apple iPhone 4s (5th Generation) is a smartphone designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2011 to 2014 as part of the iPhone series. The next generation of the iPhone was introduced on October 4, 2011, and its price started at $199.
This iPhone features an 800 MHz Apple A5 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 3.5″ Retina LED-backlit IPS multi-touch LCD Display, GPS, 3G data capability, two colors; Black and White, 8 GB / 16 GB / 32 GB or 64 GB of flash memory, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 8.0 Mpix rear camera / 0.9 Mpix front camera, three-axis gyro, accelerometer, Digital compass, Dock connector, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and 8 hours of talk time on 3G and 14 hours on 2G.
This iPhone was named “4s” where “S” stood for Siri an iPhone 4s-exclusive intelligent personal assistant that was later included in future generations of mobile Apple products. Retaining most of the external design of the iPhone 4, the 4S hosted major internal upgrades, including an upgrade to the Apple A5 chipset, and an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording. It debuted with iOS 5, the fifth major version of iOS, Apple’s mobile operating system, that introduced features including iCloud, iMessage, Notification Center, Reminders, and Twitter integration.
This iPhone was discontinued on September 9, 2014, and replaced by the iPhone 5. Today iPhone 4s is 12 years old!
