Apple Studios is bringing together two award-winning actresses for its upcoming feature film, “Echo Valley”. According to a report from The Wrap, Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney will be playing a mother-daughter duo in the film, which is being helmed by BAFTA-winning director Michael Pearce.
The movie, which is written by “Mare of Easttown” creator Brad Ingelsby and Michael Pruss, is described as a heart-pounding thriller set in southeastern Pennsylvania. Moore’s character, Kate Garrett, is a grieving woman who lives in isolation on a 22-acre farm, where she boards and trains horses at Echo Valley Farm. Her peaceful existence is disrupted when her daughter Claire, played by Sweeney, shows up one night covered in someone else’s blood.
As the synopsis puts it, this event sets into motion a thrilling story about how far a mother will go to save her child. With Ingelsby’s writing and Pearce’s directing, it’s sure to be a captivating ride.
“Echo Valley” is being produced by Ridley Scott’s production company Scott Free, along with Pruss and Ingelsby. Scott Free has produced a number of successful films, including “The Martian”, “Blade Runner 2049”, and “Prometheus”.

For Moore and Sweeney, “Echo Valley” will be their first time working together on a project. Moore is a seasoned actress who has won numerous awards, including an Oscar for her performance in “Still Alice”. Sweeney, meanwhile, has been making waves in Hollywood with her standout performances in shows like “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus”.
