Apple’s Beats brand is reportedly gearing up to release a new pair of over-ear headphones called the Beats Studio Pro, according to a recent discovery by developer Aaron Pearce. Pearce found references to the new headphones, which carry the model number A2924, in the macOS Ventura 13.4 release candidate.
This news comes at a time when many Apple fans have been clamoring for a new set of headphones from the Beats brand. The current Beats Studio3 headphones are several years old at this point, and there have been no new over-ear headphones released under the Beats name since 2017.
While details on the Beats Studio Pro are still scarce, the name alone suggests that it will be an upgraded version of the Beats Studio3 headphones. It’s not clear what new features or improvements the headphones will offer, but it’s possible that they will feature better noise cancellation, improved audio quality, and longer battery life.
One thing that is clear is that the Beats Studio Pro will not be confused with the upcoming Beats Studio Buds+ earphones. The model numbers for the two products are different, suggesting that they will be distinct products with their own unique features and capabilities.
