Apple has just released the latest version of its macOS operating system, macOS Ventura 13.2. This new update brings a host of bug fixes, improvements, and new features to the Mac platform, making it an essential update for all Mac users.
One of the most notable new features in macOS Ventura 13.2 is the introduction of support for Security Keys for Apple ID. This new feature allows users to strengthen the security of their Apple ID account by requiring a physical security key to sign in. This added layer of security will help protect users’ data and prevent unauthorized access to their accounts.
In addition to security enhancements, macOS Ventura 13.2 also includes a fix for an issue where VoiceOver may stop offering audio feedback while a user is typing. This bug has been a common complaint among users and the fix will ensure that VoiceOver continues to provide the necessary audio feedback while typing.
Another big feature of the update is the expansion of the availability of iCloud Advanced Data Protection worldwide. This feature gives users the choice to protect the majority of their sensitive iCloud data with end-to-end encryption, which means that it can only be decrypted on trusted devices. This added security feature is particularly useful for users who store sensitive data such as financial information or personal documents in their iCloud account.
Previously, iCloud Advanced Data Protection was only available in the US, but now it has been expanded to all users worldwide. With the new Advanced Data Protection feature, Apple also offers end-to-end encryption for Device Backups and Messages Backups, iCloud Drive, Notes, Photos, Reminders, Voice Memos, Safari Bookmarks, Siri Shortcuts, and Wallet Passes.
In addition to the new features, macOS Ventura 13.2 also includes bug fixes for issues such as drawing strokes not appearing on shared boards and VoiceOver not offering audio feedback while typing. These fixes will ensure that the Mac operating system runs smoothly and without interruption.
