Apple TV+ has recently announced the winner of its country music reality series, “My Kind of Country”. Singer/songwriter Micaela Kleinsmith has emerged as the champion of the competition, which premiered its final episode today.
The eight-episode series, which was ordered by Apple in 2020, debuted in March 2023. The show features a reality competition with a global reach and a focus on various forms of country music. Music scouts Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton, and Orville Peck chose artists to participate in the Nashville-based series.
Kleinsmith expressed her gratitude for being selected as the winner, stating that the competition has been a “blessing”, and she was honored to have had the opportunity to learn from many talented artists on a global platform like Apple TV+. She also acknowledged the importance of country music opening its doors to new talent and ideas.
As the winner, Kleinsmith will receive what Apple calls a “life-changing experience”, which includes “global exposure across the Apple TV+ and Apple Music platforms”. She also announced that her new EP “Butterfly” will be available on Apple Music, and fans can’t wait to check it out.
Peck, one of the music scouts, expressed his pride in Kleinsmith’s growth throughout the competition and believes that she is ready to be the next country music star. He, along with Allen and Guyton, was moved by Kleinsmith’s final performances.
