According to a new report from the Taiwanese site DigiTimes, Apple is reportedly working on a new MacBook Air featuring a next-generation M3 3nm chip.
The new machine is expected to be released during the second half of 2023 and will likely be equipped with a 3nm processor, offering faster performance and improved power efficiency compared to Apple’s current 5nm chips.
This new MacBook Air is expected to be Apple’s first Mac to feature the M3 chip, which is less powerful than the recently announced M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. The M3 chip series is expected to feature in all new Macs following its release.
In addition to the new MacBook Air, Bloomberg reported earlier this month that Apple could release a new, larger 15-inch MacBook Air later this year.

The machine is likely to be based on the 13.6-inch model that Apple announced last year, featuring a Liquid Retina display, 1080p HD camera, MagSafe charging, and more in four new finishes — midnight, starlight, silver, and space gray.
As always with Apple, it is important to take these reports with a grain of salt until official confirmation is made.
