The Apple iPad (1st Generation) is a tablet designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2010 to 2011 as part of the iPad series. The first tablet was introduced on January 27, 2010, and its price started at $499.

The original iPad features a 1 GHz Apple A4 processor, 256 MB of RAM, 9.7″ multi-touch widescreen LCD Display, Wi-Fi, 16 GB / 32 GB or 64 GB of flash memory, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, accelerometer, Digital compass, Dock connector, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and an optional version with GPS, 3G data capability.

iPad has been designed for browsing the web, reading and sending e-mails, watching videos, listening to music, enjoying photos, reading e-books, playing games, and many more.

This iPad was discontinued on March 2, 2011, and replaced by iPad 2. Today first-generation iPad is 14 years old!
