OS X Server 3.0 is a server operating system designed, developed, and sold by Apple from 2013 to 2014 alongside OS X 10.9 Mavericks. The system was released on October 22, 2013, and was available for $19.99 from the Mac App Store.
OS X Server provides the tools to simplify access to key network services, including a mail transfer agent, AFP and SMB servers, an LDAP server, a domain name server, and others. Also included (particularly in later versions) are numerous additional services and the tools to manage them, such as web server, wiki server, chat server, calendar server, and many others.
This software got the last update (3.2.2) on October 16, 2014, and later has been replaced by a newer version of the OS X Server 4.0. Today OS X Server 3.0 is 10 years old!
