Apple is known for introducing new colors with every iteration of the iPhone, and it seems the trend will continue with the upcoming iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models.
According to an unnamed source cited by 9to5Mac, Apple is planning to introduce a dark red color option for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, which is similar to a burgundy shade. The color is described as a “Dark Sienna“.
The standard iPhone 15 models are also expected to come in new colors, including a dark pink and a bright, light blue. The pink shade is described as “Telemagenta“, while the blue is known as “Picton Blue“.
While the dark red color is likely to be offered for the titanium finish rumored for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the standard iPhone 15 models could come in colors similar to red, black, and white.
It’s worth noting that the information on the color options is still early and could change closer to the fall, when the devices are expected to launch.
Apple is known for its design choices, which are often solidified well in advance of a device’s launch. The company is expected to begin the EVT (engineering validation test) phase of iPhone 15 production in March, which means that the design choices for the upcoming models could be finalized soon.
