Apple is reportedly embracing the latest wireless technology with its upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. The latest rumors suggest that the tech giant will be incorporating Wi-Fi 6E standards on these models, a leaker @URedditor from Twitter seems to confirm this.
On the other hand, the standard iPhone 15 series will continue to use Wi-Fi 6, similar to the iPhone 11 and newer models.
Wi-Fi 6E is a newer and more advanced version of Wi-Fi 6, which uses the 6GHz wireless band to provide faster speeds and lower latencies. Currently, Wi-Fi 6E support has been introduced by Apple on its M2 iPad Pro, new Mac mini, and updated MacBook Pro models.
The iPhone 15 Pro series will be the first iPhone to adopt this new standard, offering a better internet experience to users.
According to MacRumors, the leaked document outlines the antenna design changes between the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro. The leaker also provided “additional documentation indicating that Wi-Fi 6E will be a Pro-only feature”.
