The iPhone 15 Pro Max may be thicker than its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, according to leaked CAD drawings and dimensions posted on Twitter by prolific leaker “Ice Universe“. However, at the same time, the camera bump may be slightly smaller.
The supposed dimensions of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are 159.86 mm tall and 76.73 mm wide, giving it a slightly smaller footprint compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which measures 160.7 mm and 77.6 mm (6.33 inches by 3.05 inches).
Although the iPhone 15 Pro Max may be marginally smaller in height and width, its thickness is expected to increase slightly to 8.25 mm, compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 7.85 mm (0.31 inches).
However, when taking the camera bump into account, the total depth of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be slightly smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro Max with the camera, at 11.84 mm compared to 12.03 mm.
The camera bump itself will also be thinner, measuring 3.59 mm instead of the 4.18mm found on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, making it less prominent on the back of the device.
The leaked CAD drawings also suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a more rounded appearance overall, including curved bezels for the display.
Although “Ice Universe” has a track record of providing accurate details about upcoming iPhone models, it’s important to note that these are just rumors and nothing is guaranteed until Apple unveils the device in the fall.
