Apple TV+’s beloved series Ted Lasso is making its highly anticipated return for a third season on March 15th, and fans couldn’t be more excited. The series, which stars Jason Sudeikis as the eponymous football coach, has garnered a huge following and critical acclaim, with its positive message and heartwarming humor.
In season three, AFC Richmond will be taking on West Ham United in the league, which means a coach face-off between Ted and Nate. While Sudeikis has previously said that season three will be the last, Apple has remained tight-lipped about the show’s future, fueling speculation that it might continue in some form.
One thing that is clear is that season three will consist of twelve episodes, just like season two. However, what’s different this time around is the release schedule. Ted Lasso will be Apple’s first scripted series to be given a Wednesday release schedule, breaking from the usual Friday release schedule for its content.
This scheduling decision may have been influenced by Apple’s increasingly crowded TV+ content pipeline. In addition to Ted Lasso, the service will have as many as six other shows airing new episodes concurrently during season three.
