Apple has recently released tvOS 16.4.1 software for its Apple TV models and HomePod 16.4.1 software for the HomePod and the HomePod mini. The tech giant has provided release notes for the HomePod update, stating that it includes performance and stability improvements. However, no such notes have been shared for the tvOS update, although it’s likely that it includes similar improvements.
For those unfamiliar with the HomePod update process, the HomePod software is typically installed automatically unless the feature has been disabled. Alternatively, users can manually update their HomePods by following the instructions provided in the Home app.
The tvOS 16.4.1 update can be downloaded over the air through the Settings app on the Apple TV by navigating to System and then Software Update. If automatic software updates are enabled, Apple TV owners will be automatically upgraded to tvOS 16.4.1.
While this update may not seem like a major release, it is still essential for the proper functioning of these devices. Apple continuously works on improving its products, and these updates help ensure that users have a seamless experience.
