In a move set to excite Apple enthusiasts, the tech giant has rolled out tvOS 16.6, the sixth major update to the tvOS 16 operating system. This latest release follows its initial debut last September and comes just over a month after the launch of tvOS 16.5.
The tvOS 16.6 update is compatible with both the Apple TV 4K and the Apple TV HD, catering to a wide range of Apple TV users. To get your hands on the update, simply navigate to the Settings app on your Apple TV, go to System, and select Software Update. For those who have automatic software updates enabled, the upgrade to tvOS 16.6 will be seamlessly applied without any manual intervention.

With beta testing now complete, Apple’s focus for tvOS 16.6 appears to center on addressing bugs and enhancing security measures. Similar to the iOS 16.6, watchOS 9.6, and macOS Ventura 13.5 updates, no groundbreaking tvOS 16 features were discovered during the testing phase.
