The latest buzz in the tech world is that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models launching in 2024 will feature even larger display sizes than their predecessors. According to display industry analyst Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the iPhone 16 Pro will have a display size of approximately 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will boast an even larger 6.9-inch display.
Young, who has a proven track record when it comes to accurate display-related information about future Apple products. These sizes are rounded up, and he will reveal the actual sizes to two decimal places during his speech at the Display Week conference in Los Angeles on May 23.
If these rumors prove to be true, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have the largest displays ever seen on an iPhone. By comparison, the current iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are equipped with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, and these sizes are not expected to change with the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models launching later this year.
It remains unclear whether the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will also receive larger displays, but given Apple’s trend towards bigger screens, it’s certainly possible.
Young’s past predictions have proven to be accurate, including the revelation that ProMotion would be coming to the iPhone 13 Pro and the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, and that the sixth-generation iPad mini would be equipped with a larger 8.3-inch display, among others. So it’s safe to say that Apple enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting his presentation at the Display Week conference for more information on the upcoming iPhone 16 models.
