The Apple iPod touch 5th Generation is a widescreen iPod with a touch screen designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2012 to 2015 as part of the iPod series. The iPod was introduced on September 12, 2012, and its price started at $299.
The fifth-generation iPod touch features a Dual-Core 800 MHz Apple A5 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4″ Retina multi-touch LCD Display, 16 GB / 32 GB or 64 GB of flash memory, 5.0 Mpix Rear camera with LED flashlight, and 1.2 Mpix front camera for FaceTime HD video calls, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, Lightning port, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and 40 hours of battery life.
The new iPod touch was available in 7 different colors: Black, Space Gray, White, Pink, Yellow, Blue, and (PRODUCT) RED.
This iPod was discontinued on July 15, 2015, and replaced by the iPod touch 6th Generation. Today iPod touch 5th Generation is 11 years old!
