The Apple iPhone 6s (9th Generation) is a smartphone designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2015 to 2018 as part of the iPhone series. The revolutionary mobile phone was introduced on September 9, 2015, and its price started at $199.
This iPhone features a Dual-Core 1.85 GHz 64-bit Apple A9 processor with Six-Core graphics, Apple M9 motion coprocessor, 2 GB of RAM, 4.7″ Retina LED-backlit IPS multi-touch LCD Display with 3D Touch technology, fingerprint identity Touch ID sensor built into the Home button, GPS, 4G / LTE data capability, four colors; Space Gray, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold, 16 GB / 32 GB / 64 GB or 128 GB of flash memory, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC for Apple Pay, Lightning port, 12 Mpix rear camera / 5 Mpix front camera, three-axis gyro, accelerometer, Barometer, Digital compass, GLONASS, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and 14 hours of talk time on 3G and 250 hours Standby time.
The iPhone 6s has a similar design to the iPhone 6 but includes updated hardware, a strengthened chassis, and an upgraded system-on-chip. This 12-megapixel rear camera can record up to 4K video at 30fps, and improved fingerprint recognition sensor, LTE Advanced support, and “Hey Siri” capabilities without needing to be plugged in. The iPhone 6s also introduces a new hardware feature, “3D Touch,” enabling pressure-sensitive touch inputs.
This iPhone was discontinued on September 12, 2018, and replaced by the iPhone 7. Today iPhone 6s is 9 years old!
